Flagship expands senior team

Flagship Consulting, the corporate, brand and digital communications consultancy, has announced the expansion of its senior team with the appointment of Mark Pinnes as Deputy Managing Director; and Kevin Mullaney as Account Director – Digital. These appointments will enable Flagship to offer clients a wider range of strategic and digital services, as well as a broader international dimension, which is increasingly important as the company grows closer to its US partner, Peppercomm.

Mark Pinnes joins Flagship from Truphone, the global mobile network, where he has led the global PR and communications efforts since early 2011. Mark brings a wealth of senior in-house and agency experience to the role. In addition to his time as Head of Media Relations for Morrisons, the UK retailer, Mark has more than 10 years international agency experience gained with the likes of Ketchum and Freud Communications.

While at Truphone, Mark co-led the rebranding and repositioning of the company, built an international best-of-breed PR agency network across eight markets and drove its digital, social media and content marketing efforts in support of its growth agenda.

Mark will join the current management team led by Diana Soltmann, Chief Executive and Jackie Murphy, Managing Director.  Diana Soltmann commented, “As we integrate more with our US partners Peppercomm, we are intent on growing our skills and the services we can offer clients, especially in the brand, international and digital area. Flagship is also adding to its digital team with the appointment of Kevin Mullaney as Account Director, Digital who joins from Render Positive. Kevin comes from a broad marketing background but has in recent years specialised in digital marketing, particularly in the areas of SEO and social media. Kevin’s role will be to work alongside its creative services team in growing Flagship’s digital business as well as strengthening existing account work across the business.
