Flagship hit the road with CDK Global
To celebrate the launch of the UK Partner Programme, CDK Global hit the road between 29th April and 10th May on a tour across the UK to visit its new partners. The Flagship team took the opportunity to hop along for the ride on a couple of the stops to see just the roadshow in action and facilitate media interviews. The Roadshow was a huge success playing a key role in building relationships with the partners, industry media and regional media – though that may have had something to do with the coffee and muffins! Check out the roadshow HERE.
Workplace Innovation Panel Debate Social Success
Flagship supported office furniture manufacturer, Coalesse (a Steelcase brand), in organising a panel discussion with A&D publication Dezeen. Dezeen’s editor-in-chief Marcus Fairs spoke to Coalesse’s head of design John Hamilton, neuroscientist Dr Jack Lewis and workplace innovation consultant Kursty Groves about creating informal office spaces that work well for their users. The webinar was hosted live on Dezeen’s Facebook and has since had over 30,000 views, click HERE to watch.
ADP Studio Day
Back in April, the ADP team coordinated a broadcast studio day with Markettiers to launch the Workforce View in Europe 2019 – an annual report that explores employees’ attitudes towards the future of work. The day was a great success, with the team securing air time on two national radio stations and over 20 regional stations! Jeff Phipps, ADP UK Managing Director, was right at home in the studio.
John Hackston, Head of Thought Leadership at The Myers-Briggs Company, recently penned a very interesting article on the ‘Demise of Individual Leadership’. John’s insights are always refreshingly unique – be sure to have a read HERE.
Flagship bakes for #ShadesDay
To celebrate #ShadesDay on 17th May, the Flagship team put their culinary skills to good use, hosting a bake sale to raise money for the Family Holiday Association. Shades Day is the Family Holiday Association’s national fundraising and awareness day to recognise that thousands of struggling UK families never enjoy even the simplest break away from home. Flagship is proud to be involved with such a great cause, and very excited to announce that our very own Jackie Murphy, Flagship Consulting MD, is now a Family Holiday Association Trustee! Click HERE to check out the awesome work they do and send a donation their way.
Alumni Event – Commercialism vs Creative Integrity
Flagship’s Claire Nelson recently attended an alumni event at the University of York where a panel from a diverse set of professions discussed how to balance creativity and creative industries with commercial gain. The participants included the Managing Editor at Classic FM, the Chief Executive of the Royal Institute of British Architects as well as a professional musician who also lectures at the university. The panel discussed whether they have had to sacrifice creativity integrity for commercial gain and surmised that all have, at times, inevitably been contained by business necessity and the need to apply commercial realities to creative processes. However the Managing Editor of Classic FM also commented that he doesn’t believe a blank canvas is necessarily a prime opportunity for creativity, and that some of his various workplaces’ most creative ideas have come from a client’s brief. It’s an interesting area of debate, one that won’t be going away as more of us head into roles in creative focused organisations.
